This compound houses three Muscovy drakes and is planted with lots of trees. There are plans to grass some of the area in the summer.
Here are details about the residents of this area.
Lance
Lance tends to be in charge of this trio. He is such a lovely bo so gentle and friendly and it seems difficult to imagine anyone wanting to part with him. He came along with Jack, they were both found in a park in the North of England. Georgie joined later when he decided he wanted to join Lance in their compound. Lance gained his name from 'Lance Corporal' due to the single stripe on his beak.
Both Lance and Jack are Lavender and white in colour and look fabulous when their plumage is in top condition. We think this is their 3rd or 4th year
Jack
Jack sometimes makes the wrong decisions, particularly when dealing with Lance. Jack seems to think that, on certain occasions, he wants to pick a fight with Lance but it doesn't last long and Jack runs off. Luckily, Lance doesn't hold grudges.
Jack is also very freindly but tends to be a little 'snappy' when feeding from the hand.
Georgie
Georgie came to us with two other Muscovy ducks much later than Lance and Jack but within weeks he decided he wanted to live with them, especially with Lance. Since then, he has gained a great deal of confidence and sometimes thinks he is in charge, but it doesn't last for long. He isn't quite as tame as his cousins but he is much more settled since being with them. He is younger than the other two and doesn't have his distinctive caruncles yet, we think he is around 2 years old.
